The system calls on a random basis only & it depends on the number of
available jobs per day. Few absences mean few jobs.
Pay days are always on the 15th and the 28th of the month, unless pay day
falls on a holiday or weekend ~ then they are paid the day before.
You are required to work exactly what the automated system says. All
subs are to be there 30 minutes before class begins and stay 30 minutes after
students are dismissed.
Each building will have their own "casual" schedule. Please
check with the building before assuming anything.
Each building has designated parking areas. Some of the larger
locations may require a parking pass. Please inquire with the secretary
when checking in at the main office.
It is required that everyone must wear a nametag. If you lose yours or
it becomes destroyed it must be replaced immediately at the Central
Office. Your first replacement is free, but any replacement following that
is a $10 charge.

The district does not offer training for our substitutes at this time.
Some of the area colleges offer training, but it is not affiliated with the
Lee's Summit R-7 School District. The Office of Human Resources does, however,
request that all substitutes new to the district preview a substitute teacher
orientation video. Substitutes should arrange to preview the orientation
video prior to substituting.
