Families purchasing a home are encouraged to call the Lee's Summit R-7 Transportation Department at 986-2400 to double-check the school attendance area for their home. This is especially important when the home is located near a school attendance boundary.

R-7 High Schools

Lee's Summit High School «printer-friendly directions

LSHS is located at 400 SE Blue Pkwy. at the northwest corner of SE Blue Pkwy. and MO-291 S.  SE Blue Pkwy. is an outer road of 50 Hwy. (on the north side of 50 Hwy.).  

From I-70 E Merge onto I-470 S/ MO-291 S via exit number 15A toward LEE'S SUMMIT. (6.51 miles)

Merge onto MO-291 S via exit number 10B- on the left- toward LEE'S SUMMIT/ HARRISONVILLE (3.33 miles)

Turn RIGHT onto SE BLUE PKWY. (0.20 miles)

LSNHS is located at 901 NE Douglas Street at the southeast corner of Douglas and Tudor Road.  

FROM NORTH:  From I-70 take M-291 South (which is also I-470).  Stay on I-470 (right lane) and exit on Douglas Street – Exit #9.  Turn left ½ mile to Tudor Road.  Turn left on Tudor Road.                                                   
FROM EAST:  From 50 Hwy. take I-470 East exit to Douglas Street – Exit #9.  Turn right ½ mile to Tudor Road.     

FROM WEST:  From I-470 exit at Douglas Street – Exit #9.  Turn right ½ mile south to Tudor Road.  Turn left on Tudor Road.   

FROM SOUTH:  From M-291 Hwy. go north to 50 Hwy.  Take a left to I-470 East.  Exit Douglas St. – Exit #9.  Turn right ½ mile to Tudor Road.  Turn left on Tudor Road.

LSWHS is located at 2600 SW Ward Road.

FROM NORTH:  If you are coming to Lee’s Summit from I-70, take the Highway 291 South/470 loop.  Continue on I-470 West and take the 50 Highway East exit.  Continue on 50 Highway East to the 3rd Street Exit.  Turn Right onto 3rd Street heading west and take your first left onto Ward Road (heading south) to address (approx. 2.5 miles).

FROM SOUTH:  If you are coming to Lee’s Summit on Highway 291 from the south take the Highway 150 West exit.  Continue west on Highway 150 past Trailridge Elementary and Summit Lakes Middle School and turn right onto Ward road (heading north) to address. 

FROM EAST:  If you are coming to Lee’s Summit on Highway 50 from the east, you will continue into Lee’s Summit and Exit at the 3rd Street Exit.  Turn Left onto 3rd Street (heading West).  Take the next left onto Ward Road (heading south) to address (approx. 2.5 miles).

FROM WEST:  If you are coming to Lee’s Summit from the Kansas side on I-435, take the I-470 East exit.  Continue on I-470 East to the 50 Highway East Exit.  Continue on 50 Highway East to the 3rd Street Exit.  Turn Right onto 3rd Street heading west and take your first left onto Ward Road (heading south) to address (approx. 2.5 miles).




R-7 Middle Schools

Bernard C. Campbell Middle School «printer-friendly directions

BCMS is located at 1201 NE Colbern Road.

FROM NORTH: From the junction of I-70 and MO-291 S go approximately 6.94 miles south on MO-291 towards Lee’s Summit. Merge onto I-470 S and go 0.25 miles. Take the Colbern Rd. exit number 10A. Take a sharp left onto NE Colbern Rd. and go 0.73 miles.  The school will be on your right.

FROM SOUTH: Going east on MO-150 E toward MO-291. Turn left onto MO-291 N and go 4.13 miles. Take the exit to your right onto US 50 E to continue over to the other section of  MO-291 N.  You will travel 0.20 miles on 50 hwy. so stay to your right in the exit ramp lane because you will be getting off to your right. At the exit for MO-291 N turn left onto MO-291 N and travel 2.89 miles to Colbern Rd. Take the Colbern Rd. exit and turn right onto NE Colbern Rd. You will travel 0.43 miles and Bernard Campbell Middle School will be on your right.

FROM WEST: From I-470 E go to the Douglas St. exit number 9.  Turn left onto Douglas and go 0.20 miles to Colbern Rd. Turn right onto Colbern Rd. and go 1.39 miles.  Bernard Campbell Middle School will be on your right.
Pleasant Lea Middle School «printer-friendly directions

PLMS is located at 630 SW Persels Rd.

FROM NORTH-EAST: From the junction of I-70 and MO-291 S. Go south on MO-291 S for 6.94 miles and merge onto I-470 S and travel 2.90 miles. Merge onto US-50 E via exit number 7A toward Lee’s Summit/Sedalia. Go for 1.86 miles and take 3rd St. exit, turning right onto SW 3rd St. Go 0.06 miles and turn left onto SW Ward Rd. Go 0.97 miles and turn left onto SW Persels Rd. The school is located 0.50 miles down Persels Rd. on your left.

FROM NORTH-WEST: Coming from I-470 E to US-50 E. Merge onto US-50 E. and go 1.86 miles. Take the 3rd St. exit. Turn right onto 3rd St. and go 0.06 miles. Turn left onto SW Ward Rd. and go 0.97 miles and turn left onto SW Persels Rd. The school is located 0.50 miles down Persels Rd. on your left.

FROM SOUTH-WEST: Going east on MO-150 from the junction of MO-150 and US-71. Go east on MO-150 for 7.0 miles. Turn left onto Ward Rd. Travel 3.05 miles and turn right onto SW Persels Rd. The school is located 0.50 miles down Persels Rd. on your left.

FROM SOUTH: Coming on MO-291 going north to Persels Rd. Turn left onto Persels Rd. and go west for 0.63 miles. The school will be located on your right.
Summit Lakes Middle School «printer-friendly directions

SLMS is located at 3500 SW Windemere Drive.

FROM NORTH-EAST: From the junction of I-70 and MO-291 S. Go south on MO-291 S (7 miles) and merge onto I-470 S. Take 1-470 S (3 miles) to US-50 E via exit number 7A toward Lee’s Summit/Sedalia. Take US-50 E (2 miles) to the 3rd St. exit. Turn right onto SW 3rd St. Immediately get in far left lane. Turn left onto SW Ward Rd. Take SW Ward Road (4 miles) to MO-150 Hwy. Turn left onto MO-150. Take MO-150 Hwy. (1/2 mile) to SW Windemere.  Turn left. Summit Lakes will be straight ahead.

FROM NORTH-WEST: Coming from I-470 E to US-50 E. Merge onto US-50 E. and go 1.86 miles. Take the 3rd St. exit. Turn right  onto 3rd St. and go 0.06 miles. Turn left onto SW Ward Rd. and go 4.01 miles. Turn left onto MO-150 and go 0.61 miles. Turn left onto SW Windemere Dr. and go 0.09 miles.

FROM SOUTH: Coming from MO-291 going north to MO-150. Turn left onto MO-150 and go 0.81 miles. Turn right onto SW Windemere Dr. and go 0.09 miles.

FROM WEST: Going east on MO-150 from the junction of MO-150 and US-71. Go east on MO-150 and travel for 7.61 miles. Turn left onto SW Windemere Dr. and go 0.09 miles.
