Elementary School Information
There are 18 elementary schools in the R-7 School
District, serving kindergarten through 6th grade. Each building maintains
its own identity, yet provides a full range of elementary programs
designed to meet the needs of all children. The elementary curriculum
emphasizes mastery of basic skills in reading, math, science, social
studies, communication arts, health, art, music and physical education.
The curriculum is individualized to meet special needs, and activities
are provided which develop social as well as academic skills. Progress
reports are issued quarterly, and individual conferences are scheduled
for ongoing parent-teacher communication. |
